loose spinning guides-an update

well, it looks like dropping finish down the tunnels was the cure. i got one dry enough to check, and there is absolutely no movement. it actually impressed my customer that i cared enough about him getting a well built rod that i would admit my mistake, and fix the rod instead of just letting him find out down the road. thanks a bunch guys. i now have plenty of experience at removing guides and re-wrapping! Well done Matt. Confidence in your ablility to make the guides hold like "iron" by paying attention to details is the key. I'm like you, I sure wouldn't want to worry about a guide coming loose later on. It's frustrating but I've rewrapped guides often when they just didn't look right the first time. Capt.
