Polishing Matt Blanks

Could you polish and wax a matt blank. I don't mind the gray color but I prefer a shiny blank. Polish by hand? What compound? What wax? I used to love the natural colored blanks with a clear finish. All thread colors look great on a gray blank. Jim Re: Polishing Matt Blanks

Jim, I use Turtle Wax rubbing compound for the first pass and finish with Turtle Wax polishing compound. Both are inexpensive and readily available from any automotive supply. Nice results with a shine and slick finish. Hope that helps. Bill Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
