Musky Blank

I am building a musky rod for my brother and was looking for some suggestions on blanks.

He prefers a blank at approx 6'6'' in length, mod. fast to fast action. I see St. Croix makes an SCII version, but I am having some trouble locating any other blanks that can handle a 3-4oz lure ( i get tired just typing that, much less "chucking" it for a day).

Any suggestions you can make would be great. Since it is for my brother, I want to purchase a few and let him choose from a selection.

Thanks,

Dave Lockman

Dave,
Might suggest you would not likely be disappointed with St. Croix and their great reputation with musky blanks. They are about the best there is. Having said this, you might also want to check with us about a Shikari blank in 6'6" that could suit your purpose. email as above.
