In a past RodMaker article it was stated that U-40 ferrule lube should not be used on metal ferrules. In reading the product info from the Mud Hold sits it says to use it on graphite and metal ferrules, just make additional applications on the metal ferrules. Has anybody used U-40 on metal ferrules? How does it work? Thank you Buzz Butters Re: can U-40 ferrule lube be used on metal ferrules

It can be used on metal ferrules. Just after the article was written a clarification was made (and printed as such in the following issue) that explained the make up of the formula and that it was safe and effective for use on metal or nickel silver ferrules. In fact, it may just be the best thing you could use on them. .............. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
