I've started doing diamond wraps on my rods after learning how in tom's book. I've done two now and both came out great. Anyway, on the end wrap of this thing, the one that holds everything together, a small piece of the metalic peeled off in my wrap. It's a very small section of one wrap only. Of couse its on the side you look at while fishing. My question is can this be repaired without removing the threads. I was thinking I could peel some of the metalic off a new thread and place a small peice over the black area and secure with cp. Has anyone tried this or have any other suggestions? Thanks for your time, steve

I'd bet that you will be the only one to notice it. Trying to fix it like you suggest might only make the area more noticeable. I'd leave it alone.
