Easy arbor, turning cork and stuff

Came up with a way to make an arbor. I had seen somewhere that you can use a small piece of rubber hose on a bolt with washer and nut. My problem is I couldn't find rubber hose small enought to fit small wt flyrods. I really only need an arbor when the size of the blank is too big to chuck into my drill. When you do have the reelseat on you can chuck it by making an arbor. Very simple. I bought some #6 (I believe 6mm) machine screws about 3" long. Bought some rubber stoppers (conical shaped). Drilled the stopper to allow the screw to pass through the middle. Then put a washer and nut on. Now chuck into your drill and using sandpaper, turn down the stopper until it will fit inside the blank (most of it needs to fit inside, I actually ended up turning it level and taking out the conical shape) Push stopper up inside blank and tighten nut, this will cause the rubber to expand and grip the blank from the inside. Turn away!
