We have found a source for a Motorized Line Winder constructed in the USA out of 2024T4 Aircraft Aluminum with the following electrical specifications:
One 90 volt DC motor
One variable DC speed control
Control Input 115 VAC
On/Off Switch and FW & RW Switch
This carefully constructed unit will fill spinning or conventional reels.
The base plate is 1"x12"x15" and will be a great addition to any
shop. If your interested call, fax or e-mail Merrick Tackle on Jan. 2nd.
We are closing for vacation and would like to wish everyone a
very Happy Holiday.

Can it handle offshore reels like a 50SW or just baitcasters?

A drill with a "T" on the end of a shaft works well for the larger offshore reels. Wire the handle to the T, centered on the shaft, and let her rip. Very fast, and saves a lot of time and energy. I've never seen a commercial unit that works as well on big reels.
