RM PG.20, what kind of thread

just got my new rod maker, very good as usual. I just wanted to know if I could find out what kind of thread was used on the rod pictured on pg 20, built by Bill Whitson? Re: RM PG.20, what kind of thread

I've never seen Bill post on this board so I'll try to answer for him. Bill lives in Cape Coral, Florida - about 20 miles from me and I have visited his shop on several ocassions. Bill uses sulky for almost all of his metallic threads and gudebrod thread for everything else. The sulky is slightly smaller than sized A thread and Bill uses it a lot for underwraps. Does really nice work and has been doing it for a long time. Re: RM PG.20, what kind of thread

I was tring to figure out what the red is in the picture, it doesn't look like a gudebrod color. maybe it is also sulky? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
