just got my new rod maker, very good as usual. I just wanted to know if I could find out what kind of thread was used on the rod pictured on pg 20, built by Bill Whitson?

I've never seen Bill post on this board so I'll try to answer for him. Bill lives in Cape Coral, Florida - about 20 miles from me and I have visited his shop on several ocassions. Bill uses sulky for almost all of his metallic threads and gudebrod thread for everything else. The sulky is slightly smaller than sized A thread and Bill uses it a lot for underwraps. Does really nice work and has been doing it for a long time.

I was tring to figure out what the red is in the picture, it doesn't look like a gudebrod color. maybe it is also sulky?
