Surf blank for light (3/4 to 1.5 oz plugs)

seeking advice on a surf rod blank to be wound conventional, using abu 6600C5 mag with 12 lb. mono. Want to throw .1/2 to 1.5 oz. plugs (bombers, etc) and spoons. NJ beech use. Game sought - blues, stripers and weak fish. (and of course anything else that will grab the plug) Re: Surf blank for light (3/4 to 1.5 oz plugs)

Are you looking for a 9ft rod? Check out Rainshadow 1087 Lamiglas GLB1081L or XRA1083 these might do the job for you. Re: Surf blank for light (3/4 to 1.5 oz plugs)

I suggest that you take a look at some of the rod blanks listed under Salmon/Steelhead. There are some longer models that have performed quite well for the use that you are speaking of. Especially in the 10 1/2' models. Also available in this lure weight range are some 9' and 12' models that could be listed under Spin Rod Blanks. Most of the suppliers/sponsors of this board offer these models. Good luck in your search, as I am sure that you will find what you are seeking.
