Im building a 12wt GLX , does anyone know the factory size of the guides for a two piece and would switching to a Fuji Titanium frame sic guide in lieu of the wire single foots snakes significantly alter the action of the blank? Thanks in advance. Tmac Re: GLX question

Blank action is not affected in any way by the guides used. If you decide to use either heavier or lighter guides than what the factory has provided, you will see either an increase or decrease in rod efficiency and things such as reaction and recovery will be affected in one direction or the other. The titanium frame SIC guides should be no heavier than what the factory uses and will not adversly affect the blank in any way. For the factory type guide sizing, you might consult the Loomis web site. At one point they had the factory spacings and guide sizes listed there. .........................
