Does anyone know a good souce for this style of reel seat? I've looked on aliexpress and all the domestic rodbuilding suppliers and have yet to find what I am looking for. Specifically am looking for the reel seats that are used on japanese small stream rods, there are a few offerings from justace and some of the aliexpress brands. However they only come in a double nut style exposed threads and no winding check for the nut side so I have had trouble making them look good and I hate the ergonomics of exposed threads. I am specifically looking for ones that come with the hidden thread style nut on them. Similar to the justace offering seen here:[].

One thing I haven't tried that I should try is to see if the threads accept a standard fuji hidden nuts thread. I know these have to be available somewhere because I see lots of custom builders using them on their BFS rods.

The ones Norm linked are great. I have built on those. They have a hidden thread hood just like the fuji hdps, but the reel seat is not compatible with standard 16 size reel seat hoods.

Yes this is the style I am looking for, I will contact voodoo and see if they can source just the seats.

I am sure they can source the seats. Just a few things to be aware - the OD of the seats at the bottom is only 24mm and few rear grips will fit. Also, as I previously mentioned, the hood is a different diameter than a KDPS.

Take a look at the Justace website to see what options they have. Casey with Voodoorods.com has previously mentioned that he can order pretty much anything Justace.
