kite fishing

Hello everyone, looking to build setup for kite fishing in south Florida for sailfish and whatever other pelagic decides its hungry. I was going to use the RCLB70L and wondered if anyone has any experience with it, at the price it seems hard to beat. Using a Shimano Talica 20 BFC as the reel. If anyone has any input or other blank ideas, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks

We did an excellent article on building kite rods in RodMaker a few years ago. Although I do not believe that any specific blank model was mentioned, the basic length, power, etc., was covered.
