Hello Everyone - it's been quite a while since I have posted here, but I wanted to give a big positive shout-out to Batson Enterprises for their outstanding customer service. Last Sunday, I managed to break a section of my beloved Rainshadow RX9 Eternity2 9' 5wt. fly rod. I used the warranty inquiry form on their website, and got a prompt email response AND a phone call the next day! They are sending me a replacement section for the very reasonable service fee of $30. I couldn't be more pleased. :)
I have built several of the dark blue Batson RX6 blanks over the years, and this was my first higher-end Rainshadow blank. I''ve only been fishing it since last May, and I have really fallen in love with it. I'm delighted that getting it back up and running will be an easy fix, and super grateful to Batson for facilitating that. Cheers and Tight Lines - Bryon Re: Props to Batson Enterprises!

I recently had a friend’s broken RX10 replaced for $35. More than fair. I’ve been telling clients that going Rainshadow might be a little more upfront, but the peace of mind knowing what your accidental breakage replacement cost will be, if that ever happens, is more than worth the extra upfront cost. Replacement time was within a week as well. Re: Props to Batson Enterprises!

Batson has always provided great products to me, accurately described, and at fair prices. I’ve only called them a couple of times. People named Batson answered both times who honestly and expertly answered my questions. Mike Thorson knows his way around blank design really well, as evidenced by the performance of the RX10’s, other lines, and his videos. They do intrinsic power and action angles for at least their Eternity line. I don’t run into silly stuff with Rainshadow, like three power, medium-light rated spinning blanks, also rated to cast weights to 3/4oz, and for uses like “big topwaters” (what do you even do with this conflicting information… is it a medium-light, is it a madium-heavy, is it a heavy to maybe XH?). I just get straight blanks that are accurately and intelligently rated, and very sensitive. I’ll pay a little more for that even if I never use a warranty.
