In Memoriam - Ray Bauer

I'm very sad to share that Ray Bauer, owner of Rebrod/Global Dorber in Flippin, AR, ascended into Heaven on Friday, October 11, 2024.

Ray founded the company with his father, Clarence "Tiny" Bauer, in the late 1970s. It became one of the largest rod assembly factories in the US, producing rods for LL Bean, Cabela, and more. Later, Ray purchased rod blank manufacturing equipment and produced his own rod blanks, which were the platform for multiple brands.

He will be sorely missed. The rodbuilding world, while you may not know of him directly, is a little bit smaller now.

Sorry to hear.
I knew both, fished with Clarence on our local Lake Norfork many times.
Good people.

Best wishes,
