Hi,
I figured I would do a feedback on my LMX FANY1101-4 since it was built 2 months ago.. Naked Blank weight in grams: S1: 3.08 S2: 7.32 S3: 11.83 S4: 19.74 TOTAL: 41.97 Finished Rod Weight: S1: 3.48 S2: 7.38 S3: 11.97 S4: 66.87 (stupid reel seat) TOTAL: 89.7 Guides used: REC RSFX and Fuji KTTG Guides spacing. RSFX#1 Tip top RSFX#1 11cm RSFX#1 23cm RSFX#1 36cm RSFX#1 51cm RSFX#1 68cm RSFX#1 86cm RSFX#2 105cm RSFX#2 127cm RSFX#3 152cm RSFX#3 180cm RSFX#4 210cm RSFX#5 243cm Fuji KTTG-10 276cm Overall impression with 27 days on the water. It is a fun blank to fish and I definitely pushed the limits of this blank chasing rainbow trout in current I wouldn't wade past my knees. I've caught many 40-50cm fish on 6x tippet without being shy at all to lose a fish. I purposely pumped the rod to find the breaking point of the tippet. That rod has been put through some serious abuse from me. I eventually hooked 2 fish I couldn't even move off the bottom and walked a few step back to really bend that rod even more until I broke off. So YES it will protect your tippet... I found the rod to be more accurate at casting and providing no line wraps in the top section. It's an issue I've had with a few other Euro rods mostly caused by recovery speed right after a cast. I have an unconventional way of fishing as I sometime fish 5X level from my fly line. And even 6X to a 7X tippet. Sensitivity of the Euro style rod (Commonly used term for folks wanting to feel the takes) I have my own style and don't wait to feel the takes so I can't really provide a feedback on that specific aspect. I did share the rod with a friend for a few days and he is used to the Sage ESN 10'6 3wt he told me this NFC rod had a lot more feel while fishing. Overall if you know how to fight a fish on a light rod. Basically keep the pressure and angle upstream and be patient, it's a great rod for the price I don't think any other brand will be able to compete with this one. I did cast from a single 2.8mm bead to 4+3.5mm If I had to do an average angler recommendation on this rod, it can comfortably fish 7x , will target fish up to 35 to 40cm in medium current. Further testing would be to put an 8x tippet to repeat the test which is where the 1102 will find its limit when enough pressure is applied. Given the feedback and use case, would I recommend it? YES Side note, I am not sponsored nor do I have any financial interest in this review. I have purchased every FANY blanks from NFC and intend to test all of them to release a feedback on this forum and hopefully give back to the community. Re: LMX FANY1101-4 (feedback)

Your results concur with mine. I’ve found it to be a very versatile, accurate and sensitive rod. Re: LMX FANY1101-4 (feedback)

Strong work Ben!!!
I'm impressed how light you were able to keep the tip sections. I have been meaning to switch out the heavy REC tip tops for wrapped on running guides, this is just the motivation I needed to give it a try... Re: LMX FANY1101-4 (feedback)
