Expanding foam arbor?

A possible crazy idea occurred to me. Do you think if I was able to center a reel seat on a blank and use expanding foam for a arbor it would work? I think a sturdy centering and small amounts would be the way to go if it was viable.
Thoughts? Re: Expanding foam arbor?

In the recent Volume 27 - Issue 3 RodMaker Magazine there was an article on making foam arbors by pouring 3-pound polyurethane foam into the handle centered on the blank as a substitute for epoxy and other arbors. I work with expanding foam at my place of employment. We inject, or at times, pour it into voids between where our insulated panels come together. Not knowing what the density of the foam we use is, I can only guess. It's definitely more tough than the foam CFX grips are made of, and is probably like those made by a Batson company, Forecast. Perhaps even more dense than the Forecast foam cored grips. Its' expansion rate is dependent on the temperature of the two parts, as well as the temperature of whatever it's being injected into.
Being more than pretty experienced, at least with the type of foam we use, I wouldn't even consider what's being proposed. It would be far more difficult, far more costly, and far more messy than using the polyurethane foam arbors that are already available. And it wouldn't do any better of a job. Interesting concept.'
Not sure it's worth the effort since it's concentricity you're looking for. My method works every time: [anglersresource.net] Herb CTS Rep Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
