I live in Ohio so I don't face the kind of heat from the sun that those in the southwestern part of the U.S. do. This product called Tip Tite, may be something that would work for those that in that part of the country
[shop.bohning.com] It says it has a melting point of 350 degrees. Bohning also offers a product called Ferr-L-Tite Cool Flex that is designed for use with carbon shaft arrows. It has a melting point of 280 degrees, but ..... and it's a big but ....... but, it says that knocks and point inserts and the like, can be adjusted and removed, simply by using hot water. They have the words "hot water" in all caps, which I take to mean extremely hot water. I wonder if "HOT WATER" means boiling water. Anyhow.... Tip Tite is designed for use on fishing rods. Might be worth a look. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
