Hello all,
iIm building a couple of 2 piece Black Hole Cape Cod spinning rods. One is a 8' graphite 50-100lb test , and the other is a 7'6" nano 50-80lb test. I'll be using Fuji MNSG guides on both, 40,30,25,20,16,12 and a 12 tip. They will be used for throwing big poppers , and stick baits.. Has anybody built rods like these ? I have a few questions.... 1. How long of a handle , rear length.2. What type of reel seat ? On the nano 7'6" ,Black Hole suggests graphite, but I think they're too lite. What's the heaviest graphite reel seats or should i use aluminum? 3. guide spacing and where should I place the joint where the blanks slide into each other? 4. What are the heaviest spinning guides or are Fuji MNSG's best? Thanks Re: Black Hole Cape Cod build ????

I built two of those. Black hole will send you their build sheet if you ask. Just match what they are doing. Re: Black Hole Cape Cod build ????

I have built on a few of those blanks.....they want a graphite reel seat because the rod will flex all the way down to the butt. When a manufacturer tells you what to use you should listen. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
