Everything of value has copies. No exception here. Re: Are there imitation K frame two foot guides?

I wouldn't be surprised if you can find chinese knockoffs on @#$%&, Amazon or Alibaba. Re: Are there imitation K frame two foot guides?

Here's the thing, Tackle store dude drops off a few jobs, and asks if I have a K frame two foot guide to fix a rod, I sez no.. your supplier should have K fuji frames, ask to get some in.
He sez they're not fuji coz they ain't stamped. Re: Are there imitation K frame two foot guides?

Personally I prefer performance and reliability over looks. Re: Are there imitation K frame two foot guides?

Josh,
I am a little confused with and why the question, so I’ll do my best to answer your question. As Michael eluded, there are numerous “copies” of just about anything Fuji makes, including the KW in question. By the way, your reply to Michael seemed a bit rude. Alps and Seaguide, for instance, both have guides similar to the KW; I don’t know about offshore “imitations” = I could care less = I agree with Spencer. As for your “tackle store dude’s” comment “...they're not Fuji coz they ain't stamped” is not necessarily correct; the larger sizes are stamped but some of the smaller sizes are not due to lack of space. Thanks, Mark
I'll pass that info on that Alps and Seaguide make K frame imitations Incase they are imitations I also said that not all fuji guides are stamped on small skinny frames but they're still fuji. Re: Are there imitation K frame two foot guides?

"By the way, your reply to Michael seemed a bit rude"
I thought his reply was a bit strange considering, We're rod builders trying to help each other out, aren't we?! And yet you came through with info I was after. Re: Are there imitation K frame two foot guides?

Josh,
Your comment “I thought his reply was a bit strange considering, We're rod builders trying to help each other out, aren't we?!” is way off-base! Michael responded to your question within his parameters and you exploited it in a rather rude manner. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! While there may be many traits of which you could be accused, apparently congeniality and respect are not included. I would have preferred to contact you off-site to spare the rest of the membership, but your email is hidden (imagine that!). As Bill Batson said, " No one needed a tangle free guide till someone said they did." Re: Are there imitation K frame two foot guides?

Tangle free guides are make by Fuji, SeaGuide, American Tackle, Alps, and Kigan.

I’m a fan of Batson products, but I do appreciate the Fuji tangle free designs. I don’t tangle a guide even every year, but the outcomes can be really bad. If it’s on a remote trip, it’s not good to have line or rod damage. On local bass trips, I have rods for crankbaits, jerkbaits, and topwater that aren’t redundant with others that will be present. Alps (at least as imported here in the US) does not have a KW “clone” like some others do. They have the LXN/MXN/XN/HXN line but quite different in look / shape. Re: Are there imitation K frame two foot guides?

Last time I heard (it's been years), Fuji guides are manufactured in China as well. Designed in Japan with input from global angling markets, but made in China. As long as metallic guides are produced via progressive die stamping you won't likely see them made in the US. The tooling is incredibly expensive. Alps are made in Taiwan, Kigan in S. Korea I think, Seaguide in China, American Tackle (not sure, but definitely not America.)
