On an exposed blank reel seat on a Fuji or other Do they measure from the top of the seat “hood side” or from the bottom “handle side” of the id?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I’ve not encountered one where both ends weren’t the same. The PTS’s, TVS’s, SeaGuide Aliens, and AT Razors are all the same ID from hood-nut to grip end.

The rear of the reel seat. The back half of the Fuji ECSM exposed blank reel seat is sized to fit the blank. The front half of the reel seat has an ID of 15 mm and needs to be arbored. The Fuji ACS seat is sized to fit the blank through out its length. Both can be reamed to fit the blank if needed.

With the exposed blank reel seats it better to go with a slightly smaller ID than a slightly larger ID. You can easily ream these seats a little to fit the blank where you want it to go.
