So there was a post a little bit ago about this topic and I did some research and found this. This is from a company in Japan I assume that is commercially made for squeegee painting fishing rods, how cool is that??? Anyway just thought I’d get it out there who knows maybe a company over here will see it and make something similar.

Thanks for the research and this find. I found a retailer on Yahoo Japan that sells this for $109 plus shipping but unfortunately it's sold out.

Take a look at this tool [www.3riversarchery.com]
It's for applying finish to arrow shafts. Looks similar to the Japanese tool. May be worth a look.

So I actually emailed this company to see if it can be bought and shipped to the USA, no answer yet and I’m not very hopeful but that arrow shaft coating tool is actually pretty cool!!

Thanks for pointing that out, I've ordered EVA from Skeletor Works before but didn't see the painting tool. Placing an order for the tool, paint and finish now and will try to post an update once I get to try it.

There was an article in RodMaker several years ago that showed how to make such a tool out of PVC pipe and fittings. Not hard to do and works great. Bob probably has the volume and issue number quicker than I do.
