Hey fellows, I am looking at a PB761MF paired with a 2500 Tatula LT spinning reel, alps reel seat, fuji torsite titanium guides. What are your recommendation's as farr as a blank goes, would like to stay at least 7' long and a Point Blank product. Thank you.

I like the specs on that PB761MF, but my preference would be 7'0". Unless you're wanting more casting distance, I don't see a need for any rod to be over 7'0" - 7'3". That's just my personal preference. And, I like 3000 size reels. Again, just personal preference. They're a nice balance of keeping the weight down, but still bringing in 35 or so inches on average per turn. In looking at the specs, the 2500 LT brings in a little over 2 inches less per turn than the 3000 LT, yet the 3000 is only 6.3 oz (6.2 on the 2500). That's what I'm talking about with regards to weight and performance. The 3000 is a nice balance of the two.

I have the PB731MXF (CCS 25 power, 82 degrees AA) and I think it would be fine for your use. I love mine as a casting rod. It's lure weight range is 1/4-3/4 oz, which it handles very well in my opinion. For what it's worth, it has the highest TNF of all the blanks I've tested. I also in error wrapped it around my trolling motor shaft and it surprisingly survived with only a couple bent guides.
