I have found a Herters RB6J20 rod blank. I believe it's a fly rod, but not sure. I have googled if with no luck. Anyone have any information on this rod? I know the blank is old as Herters is not as prevalent as it once was. As I recall this was a Cabela's brand, now Bass Pro. At first I though it was a Fenwick as it is the same color as the old brown Fenwicks.
Thanks for any help. Re: Herters RB6J20

Herter's has been gone for decades to my knowledge. They did offer rod building fly tying supplies. If you could find one of their catalogs you might be able to figure out what you have.

If you type the model number into Google without the Herters, severl results come up. Looks like it was a light action spinning rod. Re: Herters RB6J20

Ah yes, Herters, my go to source a long time ago for rodbuilding and reloading.
"Finest procurable quality" Still have my first fly rod build on a Herters blank, but I have no idea what the model number was. Re: Herters RB6J20

Thanks to everyone. I have found it described as both a fly rod and a spinning rod. Not really sure what to do with it, so think I'll just put it away until I can decide. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
