Reel Size for 6ft Inshore Saltwater Rod

Hello Forum, its been quite a few years since my last post. Life had gotten in the way of my rod building hobby.
Currently getting ready to assemble a couple Mudhole CRB 6ft blanks for my grandsons (age 9 and 5). My question for ya'll is about reel size. I prefer a 3000 size real on my 7'-6'' inshore rods. i was planning on putting the same size on these, but am curious if 2000 size would be better for the 6ft size of rod. We will be fishing inshore bay and creeks for Reds, Snook, Trout , Snapper and whatever else might bite

As always thank you in advance for your knowledge and suggestions,

Either will work fine. If it were me, I'd stick with the 3000 because they'll generally cast a little farther (and, you're already losing a bit with 6' rods). And when your grands get ready for a 7', you don't have to change reels.

I’d go with the 3000 size It’ll cast further, better drags, and holds more line when needed. My 4 year old can cast and reel my stradic 3000 good, for being 4.
