carbon grips question

i threw a couple of the 2" OEM CARBON grips on my last order since they were clearance. at 5 bucks i figured couldnt go wrong. i suspected they came with no arbor pre installed and was correct. I can use some leftover scraps of eva i have BUT....

Are you guys just using the CFX foam arbors or similar?

JFYI the AT G2 butt caps for their carbon fiber grips fit the OEM

planned on ordering a couple seaguide carbon grips too. They sound like arbors are pre installed as does the AT G2 carbon grips from the descriptions.

Do the NFC come with arbors? one description said use tape or foam arbors so im assuming no.

TIA
Matt

The NFC Soft Touch grips come with arbors, just buy some of the reel seat foam arbors and modify them to fit, would be quick and easy to do.

I’ve bought several of the OEM 2” and 3” CF grips. Used pieces of size 24 mm foam arbors turned to fit. As well as the G2 butt caps, some of the EVA butt caps will match the OD of the grip. I have used a size 20 foam arbor as a butt cap tenon. In addition, the AmTac G2 aluminum winding are a perfect fit for the small ends. As Spencer noted, the NFC soft touch grips are arbored, but I make an additional arbor for the fighting butt, between the Eva butt cap tenon and the Eva winding check arbor.

thx Norm. didnt see your reply last night. good to know on the AT winding checks. i was looking at the specs online for them and thought they may be close... ill try them out with the 24mm foam arbors.

Yeah the g2 butt cap is a nice finish.
