Very sad news! Jim was a great guy and a good friend, I will miss him. He was diagnosed with leukemia, and was undergoing treatment the last time I talked with him. It was a return of the leukemia he was treated for over 25 years ago. Even though I knew he was sick the news is still a shock. My condolences to his family and friends, may he Rest In Peace.

Jim Ising was definitely a milestone in ANYTHING to do with fishing in general, Fuji in particular. His will certainly be difficult shoes to fill. Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! BUILDING YOUR OWN SIMPLY ENHANCES THE EXPERIENCE. Re: Sad News

I only knew Jim from his posts here. I have no doubt that what everyone is saying about him being a great guy, is more than true. No doubts he will be missed in any place he was known.
Definitely a bummer ... Re: Sad News
