Hey all, hope you are all having a great holiday. I am trying to order a few exposed blank reel seats as I have a few blanks coming and the rods need to be completed by the first week in Feb. Although I realize that there are going to be slight differences, even between blanks of the same model and batch, I was hoping some folks on here may have the same blanks and could possibly throw a caliper on them for me. It will at least get me close and I will just order a couple slightly smaller and larger...they will get used eventually. If anyone has a flip 769-1 SM, SJ 705-1 SM and a MB 709-1 SM. If you only have 1 or 2 of them that would help too. If multiple people respond it would give me an idea of the consistency of the diameters. I would like the measurement taken at 12" up from the butt. I would really appreciate any help you can provide. Take care.

Based on building with several blank brands I strongly recommend ordering & receiving the blanks and then taking the seat ID measurements based on the handle lengths you plan on building to, unless you know with certainty that you will need to arbor the seat regardless (i.e. fly blanks, many salt water build outs). I have seen some blank variability on repeat builds with equivalent blank models, where different seat sizes were needed to fit the handle plan I was building to.
