I attempted my first dragon scale wrap. Made a cross pattern out of size D nylon and then wrapped over it with size A metallic. It looks pretty good, but I am having a heck of a time burnishing out gaps. Anyone with tips on how to get the gaps out? Maybe do the underwrap with mono so the thread slides easier? Clearly next time I will have to focus more on getting the wrap tight and clean the first time. Appreciate any help. Re: Dragon scale wrap

Patience and perhaps a little less tension on your overwrap. I did a few dragonscales with some thread that was a bit larger than D for the base and then a metallic which was a little thinner than A and it was a challenge - had to take it slow and pack it very tight as I went Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
