Renzetti lathe thread direction change

So I started my 1st weave with the wonder weaver on a renzetti lathe and the way the thread carriage is behind the lathe - the thread lays under the blank and over the top. This makes the weave center location on the side of the blank facing me. It seems as though it should be facing up.
I think I saw where some of you added a carriage that has the thread coming under the blank canvas to a carriage then up - which would allow the pattern to be on top.
I thought I saw where Jim Upton had done this.
Anyone have any pics ?

Jon, when you look down at your feet do you see your heels? you are making this way more difficult than need be. Turn your lathe around with the head stock on the left and proceed like the rest of the world.

I did that Jim - I’m weaving left to right - butt to tip. And really enjoying myself but I would like the pattern on top of the rod - not the side.

Jon, go to my gallery and on page two you should find a picture of the WW two wheel set up. look carefully at the carriage and how the wrapping thread is set up. maybe that will help. Also note that I reverse the polarity on the motor, so it turns away from me. Not necessary if you turn by hand.

Thanks Jim,
That’s the photo I saw not long ago.
I also have a reversible motor I got from Roger Wilson and it works great!
The only difference in our lathes is my thread carriage is mounted under the track.
But, I see what you did and I’m sure I can come with something that will work for me.
I received your book and the wonder weaver - BOTH are excellent!!! They have put me down the rabbit hole of weaving! It will take me qutte some time to get completely comfortable with creating, editing, and weaving but the learning will be a lot of fun!
I’m sure I will reach out you again.
