Hey everyone! It's the holidays, and I was discussing it with the team here. We are always interested in what people are building! This helps us focus on new products and improvements to old ones so let's make this a massive thread!!
Use the following template: What are you building: What products are you using: Where are you located: Kevin Landers Marketing Manager American Tackle Co. Re: What are you building?

Thanks for the spirit and positive energy of this thread, Kevin!
I wish I were Kevin Landers - building rods for HIS fish! Ha! (Fished Marathon a few years back for tarpon and had a blast! My God! Does any fish fight harder than a tarpon?) Just finished an NFC Delta 706 casting rod with carbon grips and a Fuji guide set up (Alconite, RV-6 and the rest 4.5 KB's and KT's). Olathe, Kansas Edited 1 time(s). I'm building four kids spinning rods - color series from Mudhole.
I plan to build a few real rods after that - NFC 765 X-ray NEO Probably Microwave Air Guides I'm looking really hard to find an offset real seat and grips (hopefully carbon fiber) to match. I've seen a number of posts on a few different forums over the years of people trying to do the same - seems like there's a gap in the market. Then a rod for swimbaits 1-3 oz - no idea for components yet. Re: What are you building?

I'm building one of my own CTS desigs - The Prime FSA.
A powerful - but castable - 9'0" fly rod. I had CTS build me a #8.5. I hav rods from #4 - #10. Fish mostly with the #8 - but want to try a little stronger rod - so 8.5. Also building myself another #7 because I gave my #7 to a friend. Also building a CTS 10'6" #8 Affinity-X as a single handed rod - strong caster. Herb CTS Re: What are you building?

I am building a house with a new work area. Sadly this has me too busy to build.
My commemorative build once I move in will hopefully be the C602 if it comes in before 2023. Re: What are you building?

Rainshadow IMMS68ML-TC works. I caught 5 bass last afternoon. I was using an IMMWS62MXF-TC and can't really tell the difference in the bite yet except the longer rod casts further. I wanted the Fast to see if I could feel the bite more than the Extra fast. Re: What are you building?

Just ordered a few NFC blanks. Hs-7600 Hm, sj-762 IM, P-703 HM and P-704 HM. We’ll see how it goes. It’s going to hopefully be my smallie go to rods. We’ll see! Covering small cranks and finesse jigs to hair jigs and Ned’s. Re: What are you building?

Building a custom tarpon spinning rod for myself to cast live pinfish under a float. Started with a 7'6" heavy telescopic blank that won't telescope any more. Trimmed the tip down a little and spliced in more butt section to get 8'. The splice is hidden under a Fuji Ergonomic reel seat, going to run Fuji KW Series Fazlite guides and hand shaped black and gray EVA Grips. Been stuck trying to figure out what color thread to use, then I can wrap all the guides and other trim work. Got a brand new Penn Spinfisher reel ready to go.
