EVA grip wall thickness

I turned some EVA for a foregrip. It's 8" long and 1/2 ID I turned it down to 1" OD and then tapered the end down a bit more. I really like the shape of it and it fits the blank and reel seat well. But the wall is only about 3.5mm thick right at the tip of the foregrip and the smallest point of the taper. Will this be ok or will it be too weak being rather thin. If needed I will either cut a short bit off the tip of the grip and make it 7.5" or I will turn another piece of EVA. It's going a 30-50lb rod blank so it will be under a bit of pressure. It will be supported by the blank so it is fine. Re: EVA grip wall thickness

It is pretty thin, so if it will be in contact with anything, it may be a wear problem. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
