Looking at any alternatives to the Fuji kb/kt for inshore Light-Medium saltwater casting and fly. I have always used Fuji guides, Typically Fuji from 5.5-6. In Ti, the price between sic and Torzite only ends up being about $15 a rod in the smaller sizes. So to me, the Torzite and the bigger ring opening is a no brainer. Any take on Fuji CC vs Ti? I live in a salt marsh area for reference.

Looking at seaguide or At alternatives, The AT ringlock look promising at about 1/2 the price, but the ring openings are smaller and would maybe need to size up. I think my guide orders now cost more than the blank orders ;).

Are there other quality options out there? I don’t even want to talk about the price of Fuji tip tops.

American Tackle probably has the largest variety of Ti guides and styles.

I never use ceramics on a fly rod. Softens them too much, IMO.
I only use REC heavy wire single foot Recoils.

ALPS titanium are very nice. I've also used AT Black Ti-Forged, which look similar to Fuji.

I go surf fishing using a factory built Lamiglas rod and I believe they use Seaguide. They're not titanium and they haven't rusted yet.

Seaguide titanium guides are nice, though maybe 10% less quality than Fuji (glue spots, minor irregularities, don't wrap quite as easily). I'm sure they will hold up fine. Also I think seaguide is the only company besides Fuji that has titanium (as opposed to titanium plated) tip tops.

Thanks, I have a couple light crankbait rods needing a home, so I ordered some #5’s in titanium from the Seaguide TiXMG and AT to try out.

Alps titanium is a good choice also - finish quality right there with Fuji. LXN or LXN for guys stripper and the F guides for your runners
