Again, the CCF is for making relative comparisons. And that it does. Trying to fault it for not doing something it was not designed to do is of no value.

Less than 1/10th of 1% are "curious" anglers. And the market is not interested in the most knowledgeable anglers - just the ones that buy their goods. Industry statistics over the past decade show that the two most important aspects of fishing rods for the vast majority of people who buy them are "species specific" and rod color. No kidding - these two "features" drive the buying decisions of 99% of anglers.
