Date: July 02, 2001 02:57PM Hi - I have been building and wrapping rods for over 20 years and like most have gotten good at what little I do. But now, I want to expand on my skills, namely butt wraps. I can do all the basics, have not gotten into weaving, but I recently saw a new and unusal wrap [to me] that every time I wrap it - I get nice square design and so on. Where Can I get some information beyond the three volumes of Dale Clemens and such butt wraps??? Help me please and I will surely return the favor. thanks Ron B. ps - I am for posting pictures to show your problem or show your work, etc. thanks again!! Re: Butt Wraps - Help ?????

If you have gone through all the books, then the next step may be a video. Both Artie Hebert and Doc Ski have good ones. Check the vendors listed to the left. Beyond that, a seminar or conclave where you can get some hands-on training would certainly be helpful. There may also be someone in your neck of the woods who would be willing to help. When you come right down to it - if you understand the basics you can do any of the wraps, no matter how complicated they may look. They are all based on the same principles and you just have to get your "head" right in understanding how they are planned. ..................................................
