I am trying to locate a source for snake eyes that can be used on on SPINNING rods, size 25 down to 8. Is such a animal out there? Any help would be appreciated. Re: Snake eyes

Snake guides will not work on spinning rods, at least in the first guide position if you intend to be able to cast the rod. To my knowledge, nothing like that is made, although it would be easy enough for you to make your own since bending wire of that size would be easy. ..................... Re: Snake eyes

Tom he may be referring to the Spin flex guides they resemble snake guides and I am sure a couple of the sponsors in the left column carry them, just a side note the quality of these guides is no where near what it was on the older models. John Re: Snake eyes

I assumed he was talking about the standard snake type guides used on fly rods. Hope I am wrong though! ......................... Re: Snake eyes

Check out some Pac Bays in model N's. They look really neat and look even cooler with an under wrap and some inlays. I dont know how they would do with a spinning rod, but are in sizes 20 down to 8. Not spam blah blah blah. Joel Re: Snake eyes

He may also be thinking of Foul Proof guides. I don't belive they are made now or he is trying a rod similar to a spin/fly combo. Like Egle Claw once built Bob Re: Snake eyes

The older Aetna type guides are still available albeit from a different manufacturer, from Sevier Manufacturing. They only sell wholesale/distributor but your current supplier should be able to obtain them for you. ................... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
