Is there any way to restore a dried out cork grip
on an old vintage rod?

Clean with alcohol, fill voids, sand with extra fine sand paper, coat with U40 cork sealer.

Been using it a long time. Puts a nice patina and slightly darkens the cork. Good stuff.
