Darn spines

Hello i was thinking about Tom Kirkman's book . In that book he Tom talks about a spine finder do they really work good. If so how can build oneany plans would be help full p.s. great book Tom thanks and thank you for any feed back .Marcel Re: Darn spines

Yes, they work as advertised. There are complete plans in the May/June 2000 issue of RodMaker. ................... Re: Darn spines

I built a spine finder just like the one Tom referred to in RodMaker magazine. It's easy to build, easy to use, and it works great. You can go to www.rodmakermagazine.com and order a back issue if you don't have that particular issue. Re: Darn spines

Marcel By all means go to the rodmaker web site and order the May/June 2000 back issue that gives you the plans for the spine finder. I was having a lot of trouble finding the spine on a couple of rods i am working on until i built one. They are easy to build and work great. Just put the blank in the spine finder add a little pressure to the tip and the spine is right on top of the curve.. They are worth every penny they cost to build and then some.
