Good Afternoon all,
First I wanted to thank each of you for your help with a rod and reel refurbish project I did this past year. Many of you donated some old reels and gave me a lot of advice.... thank you...!!! By doing this project I was able to donate $1,125.00 (from the proceeds) to the Indiana Elks Association Veterans Project (Parade of Nickels) at the end of my year as the Association State President. Without your help this could not of been done. And one last thing, even though I am done with my year as President, I am still working this project and hope to donate again next year. Again....THANK YOU..!!! I have a question I would hope someone would be able to answer. A friend of mines father gave him an old bamboo flyrod. It came in a really cool wooden box made to hold the 3 tips, one mid section, and the reel end. When you open the box (splits in half) the one section holds the rods, and the other half has storage for fly's, &c. This storage area has two slide off doors to keeps things in place. The identification sticker is really worn away. The only thing to identify what make is as follows.... it is the best I can make out: ERISU (then a deer with antlers or some kritter) Brand Anyone know what this may be....? As always your help is greatly appreciated Mully Jeffrey Mullendore "Mully Made" Rod and Reel refurbishing ---no website----- yet : ) Re: Old Bamboo Flyrod

You have a fairly common rod that was built in the orient (usually Japan) in the couple or three decades after WWII. They have very little value but are certainly novel.

Probably EBISU, as Tom states made in Japan post WWII.

I bought two of those in Yokosuka Japan in the late 1950s. It had 3 tips, one trolling/casting and two fly. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
