Not intending to be a problem, but increased relative to what? Advanced relative to what? Refined relative to what? What are you comparing them to? Re: Bushido BA's are awesome!

We compare them to not only our own blanks but also the industry. Many think these are just buzz words but every time we develop a product we go through testing, feel, and real-world application. We test in a lab to have measurements that we can compare to previous iterations of a design or to an older product. We test extensively to make sure what we put out is better. It would not make much sense if it was worse. I wish I could disclose the actual numbers but that would give our competition a better understanding of how we develop products. We have been developing rod components for 37 years and hopefully, that means something. We have builders all over the world who trust in our products as well as understand we don't just say something for marketing. Pretty much everyone here is a builder and angler. We build off our own products for when we go fishing on our own. I understand the thought you had but part of it comes down to trying the product or coming out to an event we are at to feel these products. Kevin Landers Marketing Manager American Tackle Co. Likely the copy was geared more toward our trade customers using our other blanks of similar length and action/styles, but as mentioned it would also apply to other similar blanks in the industry done in the past as well.
These styles of 8’, 8 1/2’, & 9’ (10’ too) blanks originated from a project I did in the early to mid ‘90s developing longer carbon blanks for SoCal fishing styles. They were loosely based on G. Loomis back bouncing blanks that were lengthened and beefed up but using actions styled from some Siloflex, Truline and other popular longer blanks of the time. Essentially the BA’s represent a natural evolution from decades of longer rod application use for SoCal, NE, FL saltwater, as well as large swim baits for bass and European pike fishing utilizing newer materials and resin systems. These blanks are awesome! I love their sensitivity! I set one up for bottom-fishing off the Oregon Coast and it is outstanding! Re: Bushido BA's are awesome!

Kevin...was wondering if you could expand on "Reinforced 3K Matrix Twill" and exactly what that is / means.
Thanks in advance. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/16/2022 12:26PM by Chris Catignani. Re: Bushido BA's are awesome!

Chris,
I cant go to far into it as it would give to much info to our competitors. It is a design change we made in both the material and build to give that blank more strength while keeping the action and flex where we wanted it. Any more than that would give away to much so others could copy it. We have seen more and more competitors try to copy our blanks. It is a change to other 3k Matrix Twill we have done in the past.
