I am sure many of you are aware of it but for those that aren't I read some good news in Hatch magazine
today. St Croix is is getting back into the fly rod business, 2023 will bring a full lineup of rods, hopefully this comes to fruition. According to the article there will be blanks for rod builders as well, there was no info on whether they would be made, and or completed in the Mexican plant or in Wisconsin. Re: St Croix fly rods

My understanding is RodGeeks uses old St Croix mfr equipment in Mexico. Made in USA St Croix blanks in Wisconsin. I build a spinning rod from a St Croix blank couple of months ago for a Navy bud in Florida. He loves it. Re: St Croix fly rods

That would be awesome. They make my favorite fly rod blank the SCIV-SCII. I was bummed when they quit making them. Re: St Croix fly rods

St. Croix is now the sole owner of Axiom in Mexico. Axiom was a joint venture between St. Croix and Bob Penica.

That will be awesome! I would love to build a St Croix fly rod. Hopefully they dont go for the crazy price points that some fly rod manufacturers go for. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
