I talked to a gentleman today who has a Seeker Rod ultralight blank. I did not know that they made UL blanks as it is not on their site, as far as I can tell. Apparently, Seeker purchased some structures from Gary Loomis which included some of the mandrels and other blank manufacturing equipment. Does anyone else know about this?
Curious. Re: Seeker Rods purchased some G Loomis equipment?

Mo,
I probably spend around 60 hours per week with Gary Loomis - and have for the last 6 years or so. Gary has not sold any mandrels or equipment to Seeker. Not sure why we would, as we are happy making ultralight blanks at North Fork Composites. A member of Gary's family does make some blanks for Seeker, and I assume that is where the rumors are coming from. Another member of the family used to own Rogue rods. Hope that helps to clear things up, Aleks Mo Yang Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I talked to a gentleman today who has a Seeker Rod > ultralight blank. Until recently Seeker made a line of trout E glass, than maybe 5 years ago switched them over to S glass. I made six of the E glass 6 1/2 ft, 2 to 8 lb line rods for the family kids some years ago, they have been good, versatile, shore or boat. Re: Seeker Rods purchased some G Loomis equipment?
