Take a look at the CTS SeaMaster.
They have two models:
Stickbait and Popper. read the descriptions for both.
8'3". lure ratings from 3.5 to almost 9 Oz

We used to have the Kingfish Tour visit every year down at Fourchon, La. They would use down riggers and some pretty flexible rods. Kings aren't like tuna or amberjack in that they have speed, but not so much in the way of power and fight longevity. Eddie, is that your experience with Kings?

I agree with you Mark. Mod fast rods with some backbone are usually the way to go. I was thinking Nfc or American tackle atx are worth looking into. Possibly x comp blank series as well.

I just bought two of the NFC Fast gGass blanks in 90" medium/moderate. I think they will work well for live bait King trolling.
