WANTED old Fenwick spinning rods, also broken
Posted by: Gianmaria Vigo (93.51.24.---)

Hello guys,
I'm looking for some old Fenwick spinning rods, also broken sticks are welcome.

I mean 90's series as Eagle, Legacy, Golden Wing, HMG, those with that ugly proprietary hooded reel seat, also used by some Berkley and Cabela's IM6 rods.

I need the grip part to get a clean reel seat for a restoration job.

Here are some pictures of the reel seat I mean.

Many thanks

If you are talking a new fore grip, the Fuji HPS may fit. The rear grip should be relatively easy to rep?ace from the rear.

Thanks for your participation but they are not the same thing.
Anyway, the closest reel seat is Fuji IPS, not HPS and needs some lathing job to mimic the original.

The easiest way is to find an old rod to be stripped down.

Thanks anyway

Contact Banana River, maybe they can 3D print you the reel seat you want.

I thought you said you needed the grip? Just reread it. You need reel seat parts?

Yes, just the two "plastic" parts.
Tomorrow I can post a picture of the stripped reel seat

Those look a feel very much like old Wiebe/Super Stinger reel seats in use, maybe you can expand your search a bit looking for either version the cork center is real easy to make if you most.

Yes, super Stinger is very close to my ideas, I have one of those here but I need at least two reel seats to buld two rods.
I'd prefer to strip it down from an old Fenwick than any other method.

I've planned a method to use standard IPS reel seats with some lathe job but later abandoned:

The wanted result is this, an additional hood collar and golden trim ring will be added and a marble paint + glossy coat will be added later:

It's the Fenwick/Tiemco JDM re-issue of the 90's Golden Wing, I'd like to restore my two rods with this style I like so much, that's the question.
