Can graphite rods take a set?

My suspicion is no. I'm thinking if there's a curvature in the tip, it came that way.
Opinions?

Because of the material and epoxy resin involved, graphite rods are not prone to take a set the way many older glass rods with polyester resin could and often did.

The only way that I know a carbon fiber rod can take a set, is if it is exposed to high heat while in a curved state. Seen it happen with a rod in a back window of a pickup truck.

Jim,
Both FG and CF rods / blanks are FRP, Fiber Reinforced Plastic, with Plastic being the word of concern here; plastics can “take a set”. Tom is correct that the polyester resin used on the older FG blanks is not as stable as the present day epoxies used with CF blanks and hence were / are more prone to taking a set, but the CF blanks are still susceptible especially when heat is involved as Phil mentioned. Common sense and awareness is all that is required to keep either from warping during storage or transportation.

I've noticed no setting in any of my rods, some are over 40 years old, I've had trucks, cars, a black van in Southern CA. all have survived. Working on an old Fenwick FS83 right now with old wire guides, still good to go for who knows how much longer.
