Loomis Bronzeback spinning replacement

I'm trying to find a similar blank to the Loomis SMR 752S-SP Bronze Back Fiber Blend, 6'3", 1/8 to 3/8, 8 to 12, Fast, Medium pwr. It's the only rod my kid's fight over and I can't figure out why! Thought I would just build another one to stop the bickering. I'm confused about the fiber blend blank. Does anyone have a recommendation to match this rod? Thanks in advance.

Fiber blend was a mix of graphite types that fit in the lineup between GL3 and IMX, so some level of intermediate modulus. I agree that the bronzeback spinning rods are pretty sweet. If I had to pick a modern blank to match this rod I would look at the NFC delta series in MB flavor. Of course NFC ratings are a crap shoot and I haven't used any of the MB delta blanks so I have a hard time picking which power would match. I would guess a 4 power but they rate those to 5/8 oz.

Thanks for the response. I will check out the NFC blank.

I would imagine that if you call NFC and ask them they will have the answer you are looking for. It is not strongly advertised, but a lot of the G-Loomis tapers and such are "reimagined" in their line up of blanks. For example the MB 706-1 (HM) is listed as a GLX 2 remastered.

Unfortunately their site/catalogue makes you work for this information sometimes. While they have come a long way on the site, there is still a little ways to go on the user interface and structure.

My own search I have found a MB782 IMX remaster. Search for blank MB 664-1 (HM) in "Classics" section of NFC site. It is close. NFC themselves might get you closer. If this is the closest I could get, I would buy it and cut 3" from the butt. Build and compare the two side by side.

The MB 664-1 (SM) is the standard MB782 remaster.
