David,
Ditto on the light that is close to your work. In my case, I use this light for high intensity local illumination: [www.rodbuilding.org] It turns out that a 3 lb coffee tin is about the same height as my rods when they are on the wrapper. This allows me to swing the light to be in exactly the right position for shadow free illumination with a very bright light that is only about 6 inches from my area on the rod that is being wrapped. The entire work room is very well illuminated with ceiling lights. But, for detain work it is still best to have about 4 times the level of lighting in the detail work area, compared to the overall light level in the general room. Best wishes. Re: Rod Building Room?

Wire up some outlets for TV/Monitor and computer - at least to catch the game but it’s useful to review pics, layout diagrams, run VisualWrap for decorative wraps, etc Re: Rod Building Room?

To all, this response has blown me away, I'll try and respond to each peoples advice.
Lights, height, paint, floor and surfaces, all truly excellent. Love the recommendations for "the other" areas as well. I'll make sure to update on the other side of the build as well! Each of you mean a lot, thank you for helping this hobby grow. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
