Get a 3' length of #20 nylon monofilament and 3' of #20 gel-spun braid. Try some 6 weight fly line too, if you have any. Observe the relative flexibility of each line at room temperature. Then soak each line in ice-water for 15 minutes, pull each line up and observe their flexibility, and how flexibility changed with ambient temperature.
You should do this for yourself, for I fear any results of any test I performed and numbers I reported you would greet with suspicion - at best. Re: Precisely Measuring the Difference of Misaligned Guides

Come on, Phil, give me a break = that is a weak excuse! How can you be afraid of the same thing that you continually supply to so many others? It appears that you already have the platform of the test figured-out, so why not simply follow-through by conducting and finalizing the actual test? All of us are anxious to learn from your test of different line types at different temperatures which you instigated. Don’t let us down. We’ll be nice.
