What to expect at the ICRBE

So, I booked my room for the ICRBE for the wife and myself and I am looking forward to meeting all of you who are going to the expo as well at the reception! My question is, what will I expect to find at this expo? I know there will be vendors and seminars, but, do the vendors bring a lot of inventory to sell? Is it a mixed bag of new items and older items that they are selling? I'm just curious, I've never been to one of these events. Not like this anyways.

You're going to be overwhelmed by product. Thousands of rod blanks, tens of thousands of components, tools, etc. And much of it will be special priced for the Expo. These few photos will give you some idea, and the photo page has dozens more from past Expo events. But a few photos can't really do justice to what you're going to experience there. [icrbe.com]

Can’t add too much but there are also ongoing classes in small groups , numerous hands on instruction ,
Great fellowship, and several great restaurants walking distance from the Marriott .

I am just starting as a rod builder. Being entry level, will this show be beneficial for me, or is it geared just for advanced rod builders?

It is geared for all rod builders. It will accelerate your knowledge and abilities more in a single day or two than you'll do on your own in 10 years.

Terry - I had decided I was going to get into Rod Building a couple years ago and ICRBE was my 1st real "entry" into the world.... it was a great opportunity to put hands on blanks, get some deals on components but more importantly to get exposed to a lot of areas of the craft. I spend a lot of time in the NERBS booth with the sessions that they held - and also in many of the general sessions.

Absolutely worth your time....
