This has got to be the worst decal I have ever used. My decal looked old, wrinkled, and had no stick at all. Almost impossible to remove from the card. I will probably end up removing once the epoxy dries...
Anyone else have problems? This decal looks like it was sitting around some warehouse collecting dust.. Give me a Point Blank decal anytime!!! Re: Phenix Elixir Decal

You might want to talk to Phenix and see if they can get you a new decal.

They will send you a new. Which will also probably suck. I have up after three attempts. Seems for some reason when you pull off the backing the adhesive goes cloudy. Re: Phenix Elixir Decal

Thanks. I'll contact them and see what happens. Love the rod! Re: Phenix Elixir Decal

Which model did you get? I built a FX601-1-B. Excellent all purpose stream trout rod. Last spring I got a 17" brown out of a creek about three foot wide on the rod. Bigger fish than I expected to use the rod on but it worked just fine. Re: Phenix Elixir Decal

I've just finished building the FX561-1-B. It'll work out great as my small stream rod and "Summer" trout rod when the waters in Western MD are very low and the trout super spooky. I'll be using 2 lb mono on a 500 sized reel. This rod cast 1/16 lures with ease in testing... Re: Phenix Elixir Decal

Happy to hear your rod came out well. Have fun with it.

Thanks. I normally build 1 rod during the Wintertime. This year was an exception. The PB701LXF was planned - the Phenix was not (But I do like it a whole lot more than the GL rod!) Re: Phenix Elixir Decal

I requested another decal from Phenix.
Worst case scenario is that I won't get one. Can I actually glue my old label on using glue and then cover it with epoxy? Crazy glue? Rod building glue like "@#$%& or High Water"? Re: Phenix Elixir Decal

Just got an email from Tyler at Phenix. A new decal will be forthcoming. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
